Cheese Biscuits

I made these a few days ago, as a snack for the children and boy were they delicious. They are a great substitute for cheesy breadsticks and are great when eaten warm. These can also be frozen prior to cooking…ENJOY!

2 cups Sharp Cheddar cheese grated

1/2 cup butter

1 cup flour

1/8 teaspoon salt

Blend cheese and butter. Add flour and salt. Roll into balls like marbles. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Ooooh! Thanks for this recipe! I love cheesy biscuits! Mmmm.

Oh, and we don’t have a car at all. We have to take public transportation everywhere. My friend Beth was kind enough to carpool us to the Aquarium, but otherwise we are on our own. I have learned the bus routes here very well. 🙂

I love these! I rarely make them because they are so rich. But when I do, they always are the first food eaten!

You can also pat out the dough and cut them with miniature biscuit cutters or tiny cookie cutters. They rise higher and flakier when cut, rather than when formed by hand.

If you would like them with a bit of zip, mix a couple of shakes of tabasco in with the butter, before you add in the other ingredients. It’s not enough to make it hot, just enough to perk up the flavor a little.
