I did try something new today which was to make up to extra batches of pizza dough mix. I added the following ingredients to a Ziploc bag.

2 1/2 cups of flour,
2 tablespoons of baking powder
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of dry yeast

So now when I want pizza dough all I need to do is pull out a bag and add 3/4 cups of water and 3 tablespoons of canola oil to the mix (in a bowl)

I’m also going to try a similar technique with rice.

I’ll add 2 cups of dry rice, 2 bullion cubes
2 t-spoons of chili powder of chili powder
1/2 t-spoon of pepper

I’ll make another batch substituting the chili powder with:

1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
1 t-spoon Garlic powder
and
1 t-spoon of onion powder

When it’s time to cook I’ll add:
3 tbls. of canola oil to 3 cups of water
add the rice
and a can of either diced tomatoes (drained)
or
diced tomato with jalapenos (drained)

Cook your rice according to your normal recipe. I use 1 1/2:1 ratio instead of the 2:1 ratio for my rice. I do this because I like my rice firm (not crunchy firm but Chinese rice firm).This will be a great time saver.
