The stores were jam packed…which I expected. There were hardly any options, being that just about everything was picked over. But for some reason we were able to find everything that we wanted and came in 10 cents under budget.
Our Christmas list consisted of 6 people…my MIL, my FIL and my four children. We had allotted roughly $11.66 per person. This is what we spent:
FIL- $13.90
MIL- $13.90
14 yo daughter- $13.90
7 yo son- $8.55
5 yo daughter- $10.69
4 yo son- $7.00
Wrapping Paper- $1.06
Scotch tape- .90
Total-$69.90
Coming in at 10 cents below the Christmas gift budget- PRICELESS

Renae I have tried to collect things throughout the year for my children but always find a reason why I should give them gifts early. They are usually small things like books, lipgloss, toy cars, etc.
I am going to try again this year to get some gifts made in advance.
Thanks for your comment.

Good for you! That is wonderful!
I collect stuff throughout the year. In fact, the wooden doll house I’m giving my 4 year old was purchased two years ago on clearance for $9.00. I never planned on waiting this long to give it to her, but it worked out well. My son is getting some models for his train set that were on clearance as well.
The only problem I have is finding a good hiding spot for so long.
My son is starting to get snoopy.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
