Candied Yams

7 medium sweet potatoes or yams
1 stick of margarine
1c white sugar
1c brown sugar
1/2 to 1 t. spoon nutmeg
1/2 to 1 t. spoon cinnamon
2 tblspoon flour
1 tbl spn. vanilla (optional)
Boil cut potatoes 10 minutes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Layer potatoes in a 9×13 baking dish
Melt butter, mix sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and flour
Pour over potatoes
Bake uncovered for 1 hour

*Perfect for the freezer. Freeze before or after baking. Thaw and bake for 15 minutes on 350 degrees or until bubbly.
