Publix Shopping Trip July 17

I did my shopping early this morning and was able to cross one task off of my list for this weekend. Overall I had a good shopping trip except for the fact that my store (Kennerly Rd.) refused the Food Lion $2/$5 produce coupon.

The clerk explained that their was a memo in the break room stating that they could not longer accept FLIPS for Food Lion house brand. I explained that the coupon was not for Food Lion house brand. I asked if I could see the memo. He went to the back office and when he emerged a few moments later, he produced not the memo that he stated was hanging in the break room but, a different letter (hand written I might add with a sharpie). The letter stated that Publix would only accept (1) FLIP per person per item.

OK…I know that already. It’s printed right there on the bottom of the coupon. I had him void my produce purchases. Otherwise here is what I bought this week.

  1. The Proverbs Wife says

    Hi Jaykada,

They were attached to the shelf in front of the J&J products. I have also spotted them at Walgreens and Kroger on the same isle.

  2. Jaykada says

Can you please inform me on when you found those $1/1 Johnson Qs at Rite-Aid? I LOVE the buddy soaps and would definitely like to get some using those Qs. Thanks!

  3. Margery says

Please be careful with the Listerine deal. I think the Publix coupon is for 1 L size, and the $3.79 Listerine might only be the 500 mL. I tried to work out this deal, but found a problem with the sizes, so I didn't do it.
