  1. Oh is that the one you posted about recently winning? I can’t wait to see the whole thing! I love cute aprons too, but mostly because they’re cute πŸ˜‰

The apron in the video was from a contest in 2008. Once Katrina @ http://sewalicious-designs.blogspot.com/ is done making the latest apron, I will share it here. Katrina is very talented when it comes to the sewing machine. If you ever visit her blog you’ll see what I mean.

  2. I do love your video and it so nice to see what you look like! Very cute and I love the skirt. I’ve gotten really bad about looking frumpy and i workout just about every day so my hair stays under a hat until I prepare it for church Sat night.. Sad I know. But my husband is working in GA and Im in AL so that makes me less likely to make the effort. I will definitly try to lose the frumpy when he visits in another week. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!

Oh…I know about workout hair. I get bad sometimes and hubby will ask “Is it time for you to go to the hair salon?” He does not like for my hair to look a mess. This challenge is helping me to be a better me for myself and my family. I hope that you will join the challenge in the future. I’m considering doing it again in March 2010. Thanks for stopping by Katrina.

  3. I think you should have let us see the whole apron and not just a peek at the top – it looked very cute!

I don’t think I’m quite up to fab today, but I’m definitely not frumpy. I did brush my hair (usually I’ll just put it up in a clip and leave it), and am dressed in jeans & a t-shirt (thought I was going shopping).

Methinks you are a good inspiration πŸ™‚

I will show the apron in the future Rebekah. It was made by an Amish woman in Pennsylvania. She sent to me as a result of a giveaway I entered. I love aprons especially cutesy ones. They make me feel feminine and serious about my work at home. Thank you for your kind words Rebekah. All of the comments You guys leave really INSPIRE me.

  4. You are such an encouragement! I am so guilty of staying in sweats all day, but the mornings I make an effort to get ready like I’m going to a job (even though I’m staying home) I feel better about myself and am more productive. I love that we could hear your children in your video today – let’s us know you are real and are not just “surviving” in a house full of children – but “thriving”!! God bless you!

Thanks Melanie. I started to redo the video but decided against it. It would have taken unnecessary time from my day to try to make it perfect (ie.., no distractions or noise) My children are a big part of my day which may mean some laughing or yelling in the background of my videos. I’m glad that you understand that being a mom is real life even for us bloggers πŸ™‚

  5. I am very inspired by this! However, I’m still quite camera shy.
I’ve been doing a ‘Kinda Frumpy to Fab’ by showering and prepping my clothes the night before, and getting dressed in them instead of putting on my robe when I get up in the morning. I’m a single parent with two children left at home, and I know they certainly appreciate seeing me ready-to-go when they wake up.
Yesterday, an old neighbor stopped by, and I felt so confident about seeing them! If I wasn’t doing the Kinda Frumpy to Fab, I would have been reluctant to answer the door!
    Thank you for this!

  6. I have always believed in doing my hair and makeup everyday. Usually my clothing is jeans and nice top. Always accesories if I am out and about.
I love that you are wearing skirts and dresses in your own home! I live in a very cold location for the last 6 winters and save dress and skirts for June – Sept. our only warm months.
going to try the leggings, long john approach and start wearing skirts.
I have been married for 21 years and I can tell you my husband certainly appreciates that I have always dressed as if we were still dating. Even during baby/ toddler years I made sure I had a fresh shirt on and my face done and hair styled.
He knows if I am looking frumpy I must be sick.
These postings are such a great idea!
