A Letter From God In Regard To Your Troubles…

I had a feeling that someone was having a rough week so I wanted to take a moment to encourage you. I was reading Psalm 132 this morning and was so overjoyed with God’s promises. I remember when soon after I’d become a Christian my pastor said that the words written in the Bible are an eternal letter to us from God. Although God had the people write the letters many years ago, He was still sending the very same letters to His chosen people today.

If you don’t believe me, I want you to read Psalm 132:13-18 (KJV) below.

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

During this time God wrote this letter the Isrealites who were dwelling in Zion. Now let us imagine that God is now writing this very same message to us today. How would it look? Use the technique below to hear how your personal Psalm 132:13-18 letter would sound.

For the LORD hath chosen (YOUR NAME HERE); he hath desired (YOU) for his habitation.
(YOUR NAME HERE) is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
I will abundantly bless (YOUR NAME HERE)’s provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for (YOUR NAME HERE).
(YOUR NAME HERE)‘s enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon (YOUR NAME HERE) shall (THE LORDS) crown flourish.

Reading the promises of God in such a away has changed my life. Personalizing the word of God can change your life too. It cam help  break out of the “He did it for them, but who’s to say that he will do it for me?” mentality. God will do the same for you plus more because God is able is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Your problems can not be overcome in your own strength. It will take the power of God working on the inside of you and it will take the living word of God to ignite that power. The Bible cannot be just a story. The Holy Word of God is a personal manual for living. No matter what situation you may be dealing with God can fix it.

I Peter 4:12-13

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

God is not far off, nor has he allowed you to go through something HE cannot handle. God is in you and has chosen you to be His dwelling place. It is God’s desire that you be filled with THE POWER of His Holy Spirit. This power in the life of a believer is what will give you the confidence (or faith), to go about your life differently than an unbeliever. You may be faced with the same or similar problems but you should not have the same outlook. God has already promised you a blessed provision and on top of that He’s even promised to provide for the areas where you fall short. (Ps. 132:15) Knowing that God will provide everything you need to be successful at glorifying Him is a reason to rejoice.

God has blessed you with the gift of His salvation (Ps. 132:18) therefore be filled with joy knowing that the battles in your life are already won. Johovah Nissi has already declared your victory and given you a way out of your situation. He provides the road map to victory in His holy word.

No matter what you are experiencing today, just know that God is there and He is able to comfort you in your situation. He knows your struggles and your pain.

Bring your situation to the altar of God and leave it there. Let God work it out for you.

Psalm 131:3

Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.
