Swagbucks 101: How To Earn More Swagbucks

Many of you have been leaving comments here, on Twitter and on Facebook wanting to know how I earn so many Swagbucks. Well I heard you and decided to put together an outline of all the ways you can earn Swagbucks.

You can use one or all of the ways outlined below, but the more you use the more swagbucks you earn.

What Are Swag Codes?

Swag codes are a group of either all alphabetical or a combination of alpha and numeric characters created by the swag team. The codes look something like this:

Enter Swag Code “10NiceSwagbucKs” now to get 10 Swag Bucks!

The Swag Code is: “10NiceSwagbucKs”

Swag Codes themselves are usually in quotes with no spaces between the words.  If you are on one of the Swagbucks blog and see something like this

The Swag Gal just returned from “GaRyIndiAna” today.

It’s most likely a code and can be redeemed on the swagbucks.com homepage.

Other code styles include a group of mixed up letters like the example below:

Enter code SuperCodeTyeb34vjY28 for a free Swag Buck.

This is definitely a code and can be redeemed on the swagbucks.com homepage.

Where On The Site Do I Redeem The Codes?

Go to Swagbucks homepage or My Account. On the homepage look on the right side of the page for the image below. Enter your code in the “Gimme!” box and click on “Gimmie!”

How Do I Know If I’ve Received My Swagbucks?

If the code is valid, you should receive a message that looks like the one below.

If after redeeming the code you try to use it again, you will receive the following message.

If the code you’ve entered is expired, you should receive a code like the one below.

There are tines when you will enter the code incorrectly which will result in the message below. This does not mean that you won’t get the swagbucks. Check the code to make sure that you haven’t added any extra spaces. Also keep in mind that swagcodes are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as the clue stated.

Where Do I Find Swag Codes?

The Swag Team releases codes throughout the say through a variety of channels. Whenever a code is releases the Swag Team releases an alert using the “Swidget” or SwagBucks Widget below.

The swidget can always be located by clicking on “Swagbucks” at the top if this page. You can also download you own to place on your blog, or facebook page.

To use the swidget to check for a code just click on it and you’ll get a message, the message will tell you one of three things:

  1. No code
  2. An actual code that you can copy and paste (see example above)
  3. A clue as to where to find a code

Anytime a new code is released I will alert you all on my Facebook or Twitter page. Once you receive the alert you will be directed to the Swagbucks Swidget (example above) where you will learn where to look for the newest code.

Using The Clues To Locate Codes

The swidget will tell you to look in the SwagBucks toolbar, the SwagBucks blog, the SwagBucks Facebook page, or the Swagbucks Twitter stream for more details. Once there you’ll either have to scan for clues to find the code or you’ll have to scan to find an actual code.

Earning SwagBucks With Referrals

Referrals will place you on the fast track to earning SwagBucks. Getting people to sign up is as simple as telling people about SwagBucks. If you haven’t earned enough to redeem any SwagBucks yet you can share a little about SwagBucks and tell your friends what you’re saving up for.

If you’ve been with SwagBucks for a while and have redeemed some great cash or prizes, share that with your friends and online community.

Social Media

Another easy way to get referrals is to link your Facebook and SwagBucks account.

  • Go to SwagBucks and click on Facebook icon on the top right side of the toolbar.
  • Set your preferences to add an update to you Facebook page every time you earn some SwagBucks.
  • If people are curious and sign up using the link on you Facebook page, you will have earned yourself a referral.

Each Swagbucks account has a unique referral link that can be used in an email, a blog or any where you can think of.

Consider adding your Swagbucks referral link along with a brief message to your email signature line. Whenever someone signs up for Swagbucks using your link, you will begin earning swagbucks as a result. Here is an example of a message;

Earn an extra $25 a month with Swagbucks.

You can earn up to 1000 swagbucks for every referral that signs up using your referral link. Each time your referral earn swagbucks, so do you.

Swagbucks is a great way to offset the financial burden of gift giving season, to earn extra cash for paying down debt or achieving a savings goal. If this post was helpful don’t forget to “like” it below or share it with a friend.

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the
video to make your point. You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your site when
you could be giving us something enlightening to read?

  2. CardDolphin says

Thank you very much! Unfortunately something must have changed on Facebook because it’s not allowing me to move the Swidget from the tab to the Wall. 🙁 It would have been great to use for me to get referrals since I don’t have a website or blog.

I was checking out too and I think FB did make some changes. If I find more info I will update you. I’ll also try to come up with some ways for non-bloggers to promote their Swagbucks referral link.

Where do you find the swidget for your desktop? I’m not seeing it anywhere….

    The Proverbs Wife Reply:

    I’m so sorry…there isn’t a widget for your desktop 🙂
That was a typo. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Carol.
