There is no escaping the responsibility of purchasing school supplies so why not use the resources available to pay the least amount out of pocket possible. Right now to help you out, I am giving away a back-to-school pack from Carolina Pad. Head over here to enter.
Here are some ways that I have learned to offset the cost off school supplies.
Back to School Sales Tax Holiday
This is usually a three-day period beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the first Friday in August and ending at midnight on the Sunday following.
Not all items are included and you should check with states department of revenue for a specific list of excluded items.
This sale week will allow you to get certain back to school purchases, such as clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items tax free.
Drug Store Free after reward program offers
Every year around this time drugstore like CVS, Rite-Aid and Walgreens will begin selling school supplies at a reduced price. On top of that they will also offer rewards members opportunities to get some if not all of their money back.
Office Supply Store Reward programs
If you are an educator, you can receive special discounts on top of any regular store sales and promotions. Be on the lookout for sales from Staples, Office Depot and Office Max. Around this time of year you can take part in the store rebate programs and get bcak to school items for FREE!!
