She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. Proverbs 31:15
This is basically what the dinner prep shelf in my refrigerator looks like. I usually begin dinner around 7:15 a.m. each morning.
All it means is that I take my already defrosted meat from the fridge and begin cooking it. Most of my meals center around my oven and crock-pot so they essentially cook it’s self. If it’s already cooked, it usually has to go in the crock pot with the veggies.
For the meal shown above, we had grilled chicken Panini’s topped with spinach and asiago cheese with a garden salad.
So all I did was gather together the ingredients on one shelf.
When it was time to cook dinner I just pulled everything out and begin assembling.
For the Paninis, the chicken was pre-cooked from a previous grilling session so the only thing I did during my a.m. prep time was peel and cut the veggies for the salad.
Prepping dinner has become one of my biggest meal time savers.
