As you can see, my stockpile table was becoming a big cluttered mess. Most of my stockpile is kept in a room that serves as a laundry room and pantry. I usually have to set aside some time 2-3 times a year to re-organize this space.
This is just a portion of our stockpile which consists of personal hygiene items. At one point I was just grouping things together but decided to see if I could maintain groups be save some space as well.
For this project I decided to use stackable plastic bins. I started by grouping like items such as shampoos, conditioners, lotions, nail polish, shower gels and make-up.
Once everything was grouped, I began filling the bins and stacking them.
I then started bagging items that were smaller but I wanted to make sure that they stayed together inside of the larger bins. I ended up with bags of nail polish, eye shadow, toothbrushes, lip gloss, perfume and shower gel.
After everything was bagged, I began filling containers again.
Lip Gloss, Face Cream and Face Wipes
Dental Hygiene – Tooth brushs and Floss
After running out of space I began filling another bucket that previously house Kinex pieces but has been re-purposed.
(That says FCUK not the other word)
Now that all of the items are group and containers filled I gather up miscellaneous items that don’t have groups. I just stick them in an extra containers to keep them neat and organized.
Now it’s time to stack the remaining containers and organize them.
