Working Willingly: My Plans for the week and Meal Ideas

We are nine days into the year…

and I can say that many of the changes I’ve implemented into my life and this blog are looking good.

The prayer forum has been an amazing blessing to me and hopefully to you as well. It’s really helping me to be more intentional about praying for the concerns of others and to be less ‘ME’ focused.

I’ve also been getting tons of enjoyment from the Do-It-Yourself and How-To projects. It’s been a huge motivation for me the get little projects done around here.

Here are some of my goals for this week.

1.) FAITH:

  • Bible Reading: Romans 5:1-11, Mark 5:25-34, Genesis 22:1-19, Joshua 1:1-9, Genesis 32:22-32, 1 John 5:1-5, Mark 16:14-20
  • Prayer: Monday – Sunday
  1. – Prayer with and for my husband
  2. – Prayer with and for my children
  3. – Intercessory prayer for my family and others
  4. -Prayer request from church and blog readers

The Resolution for Women – This is what I’m reading for the month of January. Look for a review mid January and at the end of the month.

The Story of David Livingstone – The children take turns reading aloud to us 15 minutes per day. This is our reading selection for January.

D~Crockpot Lasagna (I’ll share a pictorial soon) and Salad

D~ Bar-B-Que Chicken with Rice and Cabbage

D~Fish and Baked Potato

D~Spaghetti and Corned Bread

D~ Buffalo Chicken Dip and Fresh Veggies

4.) Homemaking

Take down the Christmas Tree.

Take pictures of Master Bedroom closet organizing project.

Continue starting dinner in the mornings (makes dinner time less burdensome)

Prepare Mr. P’s work meals and breakfast a day in advance. We’ve been wasting a lot of money on Mr. P eating out because I have been to busy (not prioritizing) to prepare his meals

Re-purpose an old shirt of my and a old shirt of my daughters into a skirt for her.

Grocery shopping.

Make some crockpot chicken for the freezer.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
