I’ve picked up several books to read this month which is quite astonishing to me since I have read more than one book at a time since I was in my early 20′s. After starting my family and having a houseful of small children, I could barely concentrate on one book much less more than one.

What Changed?

We’ll I made a commitment back in January to read more this year. Reading has always been something I enjoyed. It relaxes me and lends it’s self to my spiritual and mental growth.

:: So far I’ve read ::

The most important book I read is my Bible. I’ve always read it regularly meaning several times a week, but not consistently every day. I’d usually skip one day a week at the most. It was usually because the day would get busy and I’d just neglect to get it done.

I decided to begin reading it daily late last year when I realized my husbands secret to reading his daily. He reads his first thing in the morning as soon as he opens his eyes. One of the perks of technology is that you can download Bible apps to your smart phone and read in bed without really disturbing anyone. Now I get my Bible reading done everyday in addition to the following books month by month.

JanuaryWhat Women Fear (It took me a second to get used to reading again so I didn’t finish this)

FebruaryWhat Women Fear

MarchThe Resolution for Women

AprilThe Circle Maker

MayGrace Based Parenting, Don’t Make Me Come Up There!: Quiet Moments for Busy Moms, and How To Know God’s Will

I will try to share as many personal book reviews as I can, but if I don’t get around to it just know that I highly recommend all of the books listed above.
