How To Fall In Love With Jesus
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
This week during our first days of home-school I had my daughter learn Philippians 4:13 as a memory very. I told her to repeat it to me, then paint a picture depicting Jesus helping her with something.
She started painting, and when she was done, there was a beautiful picture of people! She asked for more paper, and she painted a home. When she was done, I asked her what she had painted and how it related to her memory verse.
She simply told me, “Mommy, it’s Jesus helping US love him!”
Those words pierced my heart.
Yes, we ask God for help through difficult times. We pray for our husbands, our children, our family, and our friends.
How often do we pray for God to help US love HIM?
Especially the way that our souls need us to, and especially when we feel far from Him? What about our husbands and children? How often do we pray for God to help us love them as He expects us to?
Wives and mothers, NEED to understand that while God helps us through our most difficult times in life, He will also help us with the smaller things to, and He will put a love in our hearts that nobody can match.
Nobody. Not your husband, not your children, not your mother or your father, not even your pastor. And He will give us the strength for everything that comes up in life.
I pray that God gives each of you peace. I pray that God gives you a desire to love Him, to seek Him, to trust Him in everything. I pray that God gives you strength to face every situation in your life, no matter what.
