Making Family Time Special with Hostess Donettes

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hostess Cakes for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Saturdays are my favorite day of the week. It’s the day we run errands as a family, talk about out goals, have family time and go to church.

It’s sort of a day to celebrate one another. We try not to plan individual Saturday activities to often such as a spa day with the girls or a football game with the guys. If we hangout with friends, it’s usually with another family so that me, my husband and children can still be together for one entire day of the week.

This week we ran errands as usual but I decided to pick up some Hostess Apple Cinnamon Donettes to eat after lunch I couldn’t find any so I grabbed the Sweet Sixteen Hostess white powdered donoughts instead.

It can get monotonous when you do the same things week after week so I wanted to throw a surprise into our day.

We all sat down at the table and had such a fun time. The kids had powdery lips by the time they finished their first doughnut. I was a lot more careful so my lips were still clean.

I wanted to tell them not to be so sloppy but decided to ask them how they got the powder to stick to their lips.

They explained that it wasn’t intentional but that you had to mash down with your lips with each bite.

Well I tried it and my lips were only lightly powdery. No where near as powdery as theirs.

They told me to lick my lips and do it again.

No luck.

I decide to just rub the doughnuts all over my lips and we had such a laugh.

I tried to get Mr. P to give me a smooch but he was having none of it.

It felt great to just have fun with my children this weekend. It also felt good remembering how fun it was eating Donnettes as a kid with my brothers.
