It’s the Christmas holiday which means the kids are out of school for many of us. I am thoroughly enjoying my children and using this time to grow in character.
This type of parenting is not for the faint of heart nor does it guarantee that you will raise God fearing, Bible believing children.
What it does promise is that YOU will become disciplined and produce the results only time in Gods presence accomplishes.
Some of the results I’m looking to produce are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
I gave my kids valuable gifts this holiday season but the most valuable gifts I want to give them is a mommy who demonstrates Godly character when parenting them.
I want them to see me being;
- full of joy
- at peace and not out of control
- patient with their immaturity
- gentle when correcting them
- faithful that God has a great plan for them
- meek (humble, teachable, willing to be molded by Gods word)
- temperate and not angry or frustrated with them
This is what I will be working on for the remainder of this Christmas holiday and I invite you to join me.
If you would like me to pray for you to grow in these areas over the next few days, just leave me a comment below.
