All emotions many of us have or are currently enduring. Life has so many unexpected twists. Many are filled with tears and sadness.

On the other hand, countless days are filled with joy, laughter, and love. The good days do not need a blueprint.

How do we deal with the not so good days?

The days you have prayed and prayed and prayed again but your anger towards the situation will not diminish. Those days where the tears flow without ceasing. Those days where your resources are tapped out and you are out of solutions.

This is when our trust in God is put to the test. When scripture is not just theory or words on a page. This is when we put on The Full Armor of God.

Ephesian 6:10-18

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in placeand with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

As followers of Jesus we know that the battle is won. We also know, that although weeping may last through the night, joy WILL come in the morning. We have to stand firm. We have to push through with the assurance that God is in control even if we cannot see the way.

Be encouraged.

Stay strong.

God is in control.

Miracles happen.

Healing will occur.

Doors will open.

Comfort will arrive.

Our needs will be met.

Matthew 7:7

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Are you struggling with something so heavy right now it feels like you won’t make it? I’d love to pray for you. Leave your name in the comments below and I will add it to my prayer list.

Spread the love

  1. Please pray for my family’s finances. Husband find a way to pay all our bills. Gus’s will for boys’ schooling. Most importantly, the spiritual well being of my family. We must Trust in The Lord!!

Amen! I am praying for provision for your family. God will provide!

  2. I am going through something similar and understand. I will certainly pray for you.

  3. For my sister who is in a coma from a burst aneurysm in the brain – for God’s perfect healing. For wisdom in dealing with the hospital. For her children and grandchildren and our family.

For my husband of almost 25 years who abandoned our marriage last year, and has sent separation papers. For God to place the right people in his life to speak the right words to get through to his hardened heart. To bring him to his knees and make him seek God’s will for his life, our marriage, his relationships with the children. For our marriage to be reconciled, renewed, strengthened and used for God’s glory. And for God to continue to be at work in my life as I put it in His hands daily.

    Thank you.

Will be praying for God’s healing for both your sister and your marriage. May God’s peace be with you.

  4. I am in need of prayer for me and my family. Our home is unequally yolked. I am a believer living for the Lord and my husband is a believer running from the Lord and his family (me is who he says hes running from). Our home (me) convicts him. His heart is hardened, he has much pain, anger, unforgiveness and lack of trust and it is not only tearing us and our family apart, but he is literally crumbling in front of me. God is dealing with him so greatly, but he is fighting. He wants to live in and with the world and what it has to offer. Seems cleche to say, but an early midlife crisis. m Chasing the life he think he missed out on. God has surely carried me and directed me, and trust I have made many mistakes, but am learning with time through this trial. I have in the last year and a half found myself in love with him in a way I have never known since I have been in intercessory prayer for him. The world would never, and he most certainly says he will never understand how or why I could after all he has done, said and continues to do and say. But God told me to be still, hold on, and trust in Him for my Victory and his salvation. Thank you for adding me to your prayer list. I love your blog etc it encourages me daily.
