Things To Pray Over | Prayer Journal

God really has had me in my feelings for a few months now. My spirit has been so unsettled about so many things, but I know this season is refining me into the women God wants me to be for what He has prepared for me.

He’s taking me through some situations that are tough, but good for me and prayer has been my saving grace. Knowing I can seek Him for strength to make it through or wisdom to know what to do gives me so much comfort.

While I don’t enjoy trials, I’ve learned to embrace them. This season of spiritual warfare has a purpose and while I am out of my comfort zone, I am excited to see how God shows up as a result of my faith and my prayer life.

In a perfect world, we want everyone we love to be saved. We want our marriages to always be great. We want to always make more than enough money. But if everything is always perfect wouldn’t rely on God as much as we should? If life being perfect depended on our efforts, we’d never realize how much God is working on our behalf.

So instead of asking, “why me God?”in the face of adversity and disappointment, I ask, “what are you try to show me Father? How are You trying to help me grow?”

Over the weekend, I turned off the television ? and pulled out my prayer and bible journal. My goal was to try and make sense of the prayers in my head. Right now, I’m praying for so many people and situations right now and I need to organize it all. I use to keep a prayer journal, but life got busy and I let it fall by the wayside. This month I’m picking the habit back up starting with the list in the picture above.

I want to take note of specific prayers I’m praying and when those prayers are answered. The goal is to be more intentional about thanking God for answers prayers. God has answered so many last year, and I can’t even name them all. This year I want to be able to look back and reflect on how good God was to me.

P.S. I’d love for you to join my mailing list. I send out personal emails to you guys a few times a month along with prayer request, and discount codes. To join click here and enter your email address.

Do you keep a prayer journal? What kinds of stuff do you keep track of? How often do you use it?
