We were in a bad place. Arguments in marriage is what was tearing us apart and with every new one came new cracks in our foundation.
My marriage was falling apart and I didn’t know how to fix it. We argued and yelled constantly and I was fed up. I knew I had to do something drastic or throw in the towel. I saw how arguments in marriage were hurting our relationship, but didn’t know how to stop. That’s when I gave up and gave it over to God and He showed me how to be a better communicator in my marriage.
In today’s video, How to Find a Desire to Read the Bible, I’m tackling the “Why” behind the struggle and the struggle is real.
God would not give us something to do that serves absolutely no purpose. There is a HUGE purpose and benefit to reading the Bible which is why the enemy fights so hard for us not to.
This video will help shed some light on how to grow in this area, plus I’m opening up the Her Pleasant Words small (Facebook) group in September designed to help you dig into your Bible with me for 5 weeks.
Today I’m taking you on a step-by-step tour of what I do during my morning devotional time.
Devotions for me is to spend time reading the Bible and then taking notes on what I read. I did this in a video format, because I think it’s the best way to really show you what I do from start to finish.
This is a tutorial you’ve all been waiting for. Today I’m taking you on a step-by-step tour of how to do a topical Bible study.
A topical Bible study is when you study everything the Bible has to say about a specific topic. If you want to know what God has to say about marriage, parenting, finances or any topic at all, you should do this kind of study. A topical study is super comprehensive and a great way to be intentional about growing in specific areas of your life.
I’m so excited to share my Morning Devotional Time Tour with you guys. My time with the Lord is what fuels everything in my life and I strive to get all that He has for me when I carve out time in His word.
I genuinely love reading, studying and journaling through the Bible. It’s still something I have to force myself to do though. My flesh just won’t give up and get on board with my spirit’s hunger for Gods word. But as long as my spirit remains stronger than my flesh, I am going to do whatever it takes to read the word everyday.
I sat down earlier this week in front of my camera to just share what I was studying and how I write out my study notes.
