“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you
doing for others?’”—Martin Luther King
What is my ultimate goal in life, but to serve God? If that is not my focus than my life becomes worthless. Serving God is my calling. It is exactly what I was created for. Each day m
y conversation with God consists of asking the Lord how I can be of service to Him. My prayers have become supplications of service to the King of glory. Knowing that God desires labourers compels me to avail myself of opportunities to fulfill this duty. My mind is set on seeking opportunities to be of service to someone in need. Matthew 9:37 and Luke 10:2 says “Then sayeth He unto his disciples, the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few.” Serving the Lord brings a satisfaction beyond description. It reaches to the depths of my soul. In John 4:34 Jesus tells the disciples “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work.”
God has placed a high calling on the hearts of all of His people and that is the desire to see people saved. I have accepted the calling. I have been a Christian for seven years and ever since the day I was saved I wanted every person to know the love and forgiveness of God.
