Today’s Checks and Balances

Romans 8:26-28

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Today I didn’t:

*Put on any make-up

*Brush my hair

*Brush my teeth until 4:00pm

*Speak softly every time the children disobeyed

Today I:

*Played cards with my children

*Watched 1 1/2 movies (Meet the Robinson’s and Cinderella)

*Showed my children how to properly water the gardens

*Picked parsley and basil from the garden for dinner

*Brushed my children’s teeth for them (just the 4 and 6 year old)

*Crocheted 1 whole dishcloth and started on another

*Called a friend and shared a laugh

*Corrected one or more of my children -for not doing kitchen chores -for standing on the sofa and -for talking during quiet time

*Meditated on Psalms 138:8 for 10 minutes during quiet time

*Read my devotional along with the scripture references

*Left words of encouragement on a few blogs

*Cooked 2 whole chickens. One for dinner tonight and one for the freezer for Sunday dinner.

I am still a work in progress.
What did or didn’t you do today?
Spread the love

This, Hadias, is so sweet . . .and what it’s all about! 😀

    I loved your list.

Today, which is Father’s Day. I got up and read my Bible and prayed. Got a shower. Prepared a special breakfast to serve my husband in bed. He loved it. Gave him a big hug and let him know how thankful that I was that he was the father of our children. I got ready for church. Got home from church at 12:30 P.m. after hearing a wonderful sermon on the fact that the closer we are to the Lord the better we get along with others and the closer we can be to them. Got home prepared my husband a Father’s day meal consisting of his favorite, shrimp, catfish, baked potato, salad and sherbert for desert. We talked for a while and watched the video, “Flywheel.” Took a nap and got up and got ready for church. We got home from church at 8:30 p.m. I fixed my husband left overs from lunch. We read our bible together and then I took my shower and we were in bed by 10:00. Prayed one last time, closed my eyes and went to sleep. Thank you. connie from Texas

  3. Hey love your list—great!!!! It is hard to remember the things I did!! Had my devotions, took a walk listening to some great Christian hymns, felt the warmth of the sunshine and smelled the sweet magnola scented air, watered my garden and flowers, showered, did the laundry and cleaned up, visited my MIL for a few hours at the nursinghome, came home and cleaned some more and packed some stuff and now I am relaxing a bit before suppper . (Oh and said goodbye to my youngest son who is traveling to Charleston–after having a quick chat!)
