Between January 1st and June 30th I drastically reduced my coupon usage and shopping trips in an effort to use up some things from our stockpile. It was a good break not having to shop every week or worry about clipping coupons.
It was so funny because the cashiers were shocked each time I’d come in and only used 1 or 2 coupons. I was tickled myself as I had to get used to the higher totals that came with not using coupons. I’d go in the store and buy 4 items and my total would be close to $30. I was certainly not used to that anymore.
Well, my hiatus is over and it’s time to start replenishing my stockpile. This was my first official frugal shopping trip. I used a total of (9) coupons and plan to ratchet that number up by at least 20 on my next trip. The more coupons I can use, the more money I can save.
