Meet Julie from Love2BFrugal

Today I’d like to welcome and introduce you to Julie from Love2BFrugal. Julie has been blogging since May 2008 and has agreed to let us pick her brain.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m a pastor’s wife, homeschool mom to three blessings, and I love finding and sharing great deals.

When did you start blogging? How did you get into blogging and why?

May 2008. I got tired of repeating myself when I told the ladies at church about good deals and how to coupon. By blogging, I can make that info available and they’re free to look at it if they’re interested, at a time that’s convenient for them.

What is your blog about and why should people read it?

I blog about being frugal, ways to cut corners, how to coupon, and I’ve come across in the blogosphere.

What would you say inspires the content of your posts?

My family, the thrill of getting a great deal, and my absolute abhorrence of paying more than I have to!

A lot of people are interested in blogging for money, what are some tips for people who would like to make money from blogging? What are some realistic expectations?

If you have a passion for what you blog about, it will show. Although it’s nice to make money blogging, I won’t promote something I wouldn’t use myself. I feel that God honors integrity. My main goal is to help others learn how to save. If I can benefit my family at the same time, it’s the icing on the cake, but my family and church responsibilities have to come before blogging.

Everyone has a favorite/least favorite post. Name yours and why?

Probably my favorite post, and the one I am still getting responses on, is making my own homemade laundry soap.

Thanks so much Julie for letting us get to know you.
