I might be the only person on earth that struggles with having faith in God’s provision but I doubt it.
It’s so easy to find ourselves back in the rut of doubting God and the fact that He cares enough about us to meet our needs.
It can be especially easy to doubt when we place more of our focus on late bills, lost income and rising prices.
With all of this evidence staring us in the face each day it can be hard to believe that things will actually get better financially. While I have not mastered my fears about finances I do know the solution for overcoming those fears.
When the major appliances break down one after the other.
When something stops working on your car.
When you’ve been on multiple job interviews and have not been hired yet.
We can focus on all of the problems or we can turn our focus to God’s promises. It’s His promises that change us and our situation. The promises are what allows us to have peace even when things look a mess.
We can go back to worrying, sulking and complaining or we can be transformed and renewed. The only way that’s going to happen is if we replace the old way of thinking with a better way. Romans 2:12
To do this, we must first get our hearts into a posture surrender. A heart surrendered to God always precedes a renewed mind. If it takes saying it to yourself, the devil and to God, just come out and say, “I’m trusting God (period)“.
Once you’ve made up your mind, you’ll need to fortify decision with a steady diet of God’s word. If you have a budget book or homemaking binder, you should have theses verses in there.
I suggest reciting one or more of the verses below daily but especially before:
Matthew 6:8…………”your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.”
Psalm 34:10……….”…those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”
Psalm 24:1………..”The earth is the Lord’s, and all it’s fullness,…”
Psalm 50:10……….”…every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.”
Genesis 18:14………”Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
Matthew 7:7…………”Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Romans 8:32……….”He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with Him also freely give us all things?”
Psalm 37:5………..”Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”
Luke 6:38………”Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.”
Ephesians 3:20……….”…God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…”
Philippians 4:19………”And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
2 Peter 1:3……….”His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him…”
Jeremiah 33:3………….”Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and
mighty things, which you do not know.”
Jeremiah 32:27………”Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything to hard for Me?”
Matthew 11:28……….”Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Hebrews 13:5……….”For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Phillipians 4:6……….”Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let you requests be made known to God; …”
2 Corinthians 9:10………”…may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the
fruits of your righteousness, …”
Psalm 20:4……….”…may He grant you according to your hearts desire, and fulfill all of your purpose.”
Ephesians 1:3………..”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,…”

Just happened to notice something you might want to correct. I was going through these scriptures and underlining them in my bible and I noticed the two scriptures you have as being located in Philemon. They are actually located in Phillipians. 🙂
This was a great gem to come across today. My husband will officially be receiving a monthly paycheck for the first time in 7 years! I’m so excited about getting to budget and have a number to work with! These verses WILL be printed out and placed with my budget book! Thank you!
