Every year that I own my home I’m trying to figure out how to keep it clean with less effort. This year new Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes in 75 ct. (“Free & Clear”) is helping me get it done safely, quickly and yuck-free.
This month is my spring cleaning month and I’m gathering up all of my supplies so when I start working on my cleaning zones I have everything I need. So far, I’ve mixed disinfectant sprays for each zone, picked up Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes, and organized my cleaning closet. I wanted to have the tools and solutions I needed ready to go as I worked through each zone.
This week’s goal is to wipe all of the upstairs surfaces. There are two ways I normally tackle them. The first is by filling a bucket of hot soapy water then wiping everything down with a cloth. That method is time-consuming and requires making clean water several times. The second method only requires Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes.
This year, I went with the second method. I’m really busy with business projects and I’d rather work on them because I enjoy what I do for a living.
I used the NEW Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes “free & clear” which are;
- Safe to use around kids, pets, and food.
- Clean without harsh chemicals.
- It comes in Free & Clear (unscented) from Walmart.
I love a good cleaning wipe for yuck-free cleaning year-round and especially for areas where grime has built up through the seasons. The tops of my kitchen cabinets, the baseboards, and window sills usually have the most grime so I started there with this year’s spring cleaning.
Using a Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipe I firmly wiped the baseboards and living room window sills until they were free of dust and stains. The plant-based wipe is super soft and moist. Since I bought unscented Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes, there are no fumes that can sometimes irritate my allergies.
Clorox® is making some big efforts in sustainability (to help make the world a better place) in the next few years and compostable wipes are one of them.
I went from the living room to the dining room, to the kitchen, wiping and tossing the soiled wipes into the composting bin until I was satisfied with my work. Not having to fill a bucket of soapy water several times, made the job easier.
I’m not gonna lie…I change the water several times when I use the bucket method because I hate having my hands in the dirty water. Once the water would turn slightly gray I’d dump it, however, with Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes there’s no yucky water to dump.
There are 75 wipes in the container and I didn’t even use half of them. Even if I did, it would have been well worth the money and time saved. I wiped the baseboards, windowsills, kitchen cabinet tops, kitchen appliances, spot cleaned the walls, and all with less than one container.
I’ve done this routine many times since owning my home and it’s never been simpler. These are definitely my new go-to cleaning wipes for kitchen cleanup on surfaces where our food comes in contact.
